First Family of Five Road Trip

We had an extra cup of coffee on Saturday morning, got everyone showered and dressed, packed two suitcases for a one night trip, and hit the road bright and early...except that it was actually almost noon before we actually backed out of the garage.

But we still held out for lunch on the Riverwalk in Pueblo, at a great pizzeria. Followed by a paddle boat ride with two of our three (Nolan stayed shore-side with his Grandma and Grandpa).

And then is was off to show off the newest bundle to relatives. Including Bryan's maternal Grandparents. There is something that just really amazes me when I see such an age difference in the most senior members of the family and the newest additions. I hope I am so fortunate someday to see my sons' babies' babies!

Oh, and for the sake of family heritage documentation, I have to throw in a picture of Grandpa Derito's garden. He is the premier gardener!

And for the sake of documenting how accident prone Warren is, here he is sporting road rash on his face from an incident with his scooter and our sidewalk...and his decision to try to do a flip on the scooter.

Sunday morning involved breakfast at a greasy spoon diner (YUM!) and of course swimming at the hotel swimming pool. Then we hit the road to return home, minus one kiddo. Jack stayed behind at Grandma's since I have Nolan's pediatrician appointment and orientation for Warren for Kindergarten on Monday and Tuesday. How funny is it that I now think two kids is SO easy as opposed to three! How quickly things change!
