Yet another hodgepodge post.

As much as he sometimes acts like he goes kicking and screaming, hubby has the "Green" bug too, I just know it.

Here he is with his beloved reel mower.  No emissions, getting some exercise, looking fly... love you babe.

We went on a little mall train ride the other day. It was totally hokey but the boys LOVED it, especially little Nolan, who must have said "choo choo" fifty times during the 10 minute ride.

I had a great Mother's Day. I love the little things kids make at school. Here is what Warren gave me, a top ten Jay Leno style list (I especially love my second "virtue"):

Jack made me an adorable butterfly magnet, which he keeps threatening to take back any time he doesn't get his way... hmmm, need to work with him on his gift-giving mentality :)

Just took my sister to the airport this morning. We found her the most adorable little Volkswagen Rabbit, 2008 4 door, good as new car with a three year warranty. Can't believe it was within budget! What a find. She is going to Alaska just for a couple weeks and then back here to Colorado, where she is going to college. We had a nice visit taking the kids to parks, shopping, eating out... the usual!

It's like I have The Force or something.

Lately I have been feeling so "with it."
And for all the times I totally do not feel that way, I figure it is worth sharing.

The microwave/hood combo is down! Good riddance!

And the new hood is up. It seriously moves some air and takes odors etc right outside!

We still have to finish some tile work and install the pot filler faucet, then it is all done!

::I'll spare you a picture, but potty training is going really well. We continue to have enough successes that I am staying energized to keep up the very exhausting and tedious tasks associated::

It felt good to be home! Back to my roots, clean air, and majestic views.

As for roots... I am at month four of not highlighting my hair anymore. Roots! And this is what I look like without a stitch of makeup on.


It was a short trip at only 5 days, but we made the most of it.

Nolan slept on the flights there and I twisted his hair into a unicorn style:


My little sister graduated highschool, and if my mom has any trepidation about being an empty nester, she is doing an excellent job of hiding it. Can't blame her -- 30+ years of Mothering is a long time!

We hiked at Windy Point with Nolan in this great carrier that I borrowed from a friend (over three miles overlooking THE most spectacular scenery of Cook Inlet):


Speaking of friends, we got to visit with plenty of friends:

Back from Bryan's Sales Recognition trip to Montego Bay, Jamaica.

We are already unpacked and more than settled back into normal life

after taking a {short} break.

But, I can still vividly remember that:

It was so nice to spend some time with just my hubby. I quickly recalled how much fun we have and how easy it is, without the stress and chaos of real life.

...but oh how we missed our boys...

And I had to ask him...

"Honey, did you ever imagine... ?"

"...yeah, me neither."

Our hands are full, but so are our hearts!
